Insworld will apply for a Student Pass on the applicant’s behalf once we have received the applicant’s written acceptance of our offer and a signed Student Contract.
The application for a Student Pass will take approximately 4-6 weeks. The following documents are required to be forwarded to Insworld before we can process the application:
1. Completed Student Pass Online Application Form

2. Two recent passport sized photographs
3. Photocopy of international passport (bio-data page/s only)
4. Translated and certified birth certificate
5. Translated and certified copies of academic transcripts and certificates
Additional documents are required from:
a) Applicants from visa required countries will also need to provide copies of the following:
1. Proof of financial ability in the form of bank statements – minimum amount of SGD30,000
2. A letter from a company confirming the monthly salary/income of the applicant's sponsor
b) Applicants with a parent/spouse who is a Singaporean national or Permanent Resident in Singapore will need to provide:
1. Copy of parents/spouses Marriage Certificate
2. Parents/spouses highest education certificate
3. Parents/spouses letter of employment or a copy of a Business Registration
Certificate if the parent/spouse is self-employed.
4. Parents/spouses monthly CPF contributions for the past 12 months
5. Parents/spouses Tax Assessment Notices for the past 2 years
c) If the applicant is from the PRC and above 19 years of age, the applicant will be expected to attend an Interview at the Singapore Embassy in Beijing and the following additional documents should be prepared in advance:
1. Original and photocopies of applicant’s birth certificate
2. Original and photocopies of highest academic education certificate
3. Original and photocopies of transcripts
4. 6 months of RMB200,000 in the form of Fixed Deposit Advice
5. Parent's monthly income statements slips for the past 6 months
All the notarial certificates must be issued by the local Chinese Notary Public Office, certified by the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, PRC as well as the Singapore Embassy/Consulate-General in China
Approval of Students Pass
Once the Student Pass is approved, the Immigration & Checkpoint Authority of Singapore will provide an In-Principal Approval (IPA) Letter. The student may use this letter to enter Singapore on a Social Visit Pass.
On arrival in Singapore, Insworld will assist the student to collect the Student Pass. Some of the documents that may be requested are:
1. Medical Check-up (please set aside S$45.00 to cover the medical check-up cost)
2. Security Deposit, if required (Chart is provided below)
3. International Passport and the Embarkation Card

When the application for a Students Pass is approved, an In-Principle Approval (IPA) letter will be issued for the applicant to complete the formalities and collect the Student’s Pass card at ICA.
