The Council for Private Education (CPE)
The Council for Private Education is a statutory board established under the Private Education Act 2009 to regulate the private education industry in Singapore. Besides being the regulator of Private Education Institutions (PEIs) in Singapore, the CPE also facilitates development efforts to improve the standards in the industry. For more information on the CPE, please refer to the CPE website www.cpe.gov.sg.
Enhanced Registration Framework & EduTrust
As part of regulatory efforts stipulated by the Private Education Act 2009, it is mandatory for all PEIs to be registered with the CPE under the Enhanced Registration Framework (ERF). In addition, PEIs may voluntarily register themselves to be EduTrust-certified, as a mark of having achieved a higher and more comprehensive standard in their corporate governance, financial viability, administration, and student-related services and processes.
Under the Private Education Act 2009, only PEIs that are EduTrust certified will be able to enroll International Students requiring a Student Pass from the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority of Singapore.
Insworld Institute registration number with CPE is 200008126N and is valid from 20th May 2010 to 19th May 2014.
As of 07 January 2011, Insworld Institute received the Provisional EduTrust certification with a validity period of 1 year. Read more about Insworld’s Provisional EduTrust certification at the CPE website.
